Every day, women across India face threats online that no one ever prepared them for. A fake profile copies their identity. A scam call tricks them into sharing their OTP. A morphed photo is used to harass them. And most of the time, they don’t know what to do next not because they are weak, but because no one ever taught them. That changes now. CyberShakti is here. And Cohort 1 is officially open for applications.
What Is CyberShakti?
CyberShakti is a 6-day online certificate course built specifically for women. It gives you the skills, legal awareness, and practical tools to stay safe and confident in the digital world.
This is not a one-hour webinar. This is not a printed pamphlet. Instead, it is a structured, nationally-backed learning programme under Project CyberShield by Naksh Foundation built to treat your digital safety as a serious, learnable life skill.
CyberShakti at a glance
- Duration: 6 days- Monday to Saturday
- When: Last week of every month
- Who runs it: Naksh Foundation under Project CyberShield
- Certificate: Yes-on successful completion
- Prior knowledge needed: None at all
Why Does This CyberShakti Course Exist?
India has over 700 million internet users. More women are coming online every year as students, professionals, homemakers, and creators. Yet, most of them have never received any guidance on staying safe online.
So what happens?
Cyberstalking, impersonation, UPI fraud, and image-based abuse continue to rise. Many women do not report these crimes because they simply do not know that they legally can. Many others cannot recover because they are unaware of the tools and portals that already exist to help them.
That gap in knowledge is exactly what CyberShakti is designed to fix.
The core belief behind this course
Knowing your rights online is not a luxury. It is as essential as knowing how to cross the road safely.
What Will You Learn? The Full 6-Day CyberShakti Plan
Each day of the course focuses on one clear theme. As a result, your learning builds day by day, practically and progressively.
Day 1: Understanding Cyber Threats That Target Women
First, we name the threats clearly. Cyberstalking, impersonation, trolling, doxxing, and online harassment, what they look like, how they start, and how to spot them early. Real examples from India are used throughout.
Day 2: Social Media Privacy and Digital Boundaries
Next, we look at your social media accounts, Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook, and more. You will learn how to use privacy settings, manage what you share online, and know exactly when and how to block, restrict, or report someone.
Day 3: Securing Your Devices, Accounts, and Data
Then comes the practical security session. You will set up two-factor authentication, learn to spot dangerous links, and understand how to keep your phone, apps, and personal data protected from theft and intrusion.
Day 4: Cyber Law, Your Rights, and How to Complain
This session is a game-changer. You will learn which sections of the IT Act protect you, how to file a cyber crime complaint on the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal, what SHe-Box is, and how to use it. In short, your legal rights exist, and this session makes sure you know them.
Day 5: Stopping Financial Fraud: OTP, UPI, and Phishing
On Day 5, we go deep into financial scams. You will see live demonstrations of how OTP fraud and UPI scams work, learn to recognise phishing messages, and get introduced to Sanchar Saathi, the government portal to block misused mobile numbers.
Day 6: Digital Takedown Tools and Cyber Self-Defence
Finally, on the last day, powerful tools go directly into your hands. You will use StopNCII to understand non-consensual image abuse, build your own incident response plan, and take home a cyber hygiene checklist. Then, you receive your Certificate of Completion from Naksh Foundation.
